Can people with type 1 diabetes get nose jobs?

Yes you can. Be sure you see your regular doctor and then your plastic surgeon (the two should be working together in your case.) My mother was a diabetic since she was 35 years of age (died at 83 years old) and she had her eyelids done (they were drooping.) She came through it just fine.

If you have a drug conviction can you still get a loan?

Absolutely you can. They only check your credit history at banks not your criminal history. It would be prejudice and illegal for them to check your criminal background. Then you sue em.

Has anyone been misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia when actually they have hypothyroidism?

How can one answer such a question when you don't believe in Fibromyalgia. I have Fibromyalgia, and also at this point having symptoms of hypothyroid problems. It is kinda hard to distinguish some of the symptoms, d/t some of the symptoms are the same. There are a few that have nothing to do with the other. It is possible to have both of the problems. I would be a challenge for you! I have had just about every test that you could think of. Fibromyalgia has really been around for a long time they just called it chronic fatigue syndrome. Fibro is a mysterious thing, just like MS and other autoimmune disorders. I do believe they all have something to do with the central nervous system. I think they are figuring it out finally. Good Luck to you I have Anklosing Spondilitis Osteorarthritis Fibromyalgia Thank you. I am not a believer in fibromyalgia. I think that that diagnosis is given when the Dr. cannot find any other reason for a patient's symptoms. So, I think misdiagnosis of fibromyalgia is definitely possible. It is possible to have fibromyalgia and hypothyroidism simultaneously, in fact they are often related. The main symptoms for fibromyalgia are dull aching pain, which a tender point test reveals, and not getting enough deep sleep (oftentimes you "feel like a truck hit you" when you wake up in the am). If in doubt of diagnosis, see a rheumatologist (they discovered fibromyalgia syndrome, and have quantified it with this testing procedure). I have had fibromyalgia for 10 yrs. so I am a believer in it, but I've used a combination of a rheumatologist and naturopath to manage it successfully. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 6 years ago. I have since then successfully self treated with Armour thyroid for Hypothyroidism. So the answer to your question is definitely yes! To the person who isn't a believer in fibromyalgia.. it is easy for you to say that because you do not have it. I have been diagnosed for 6 years now. I also have osteoarthritis and a thyriod condition..isn't that crazy. I feel that people think fibromyalgia isn't real because they don't know what causes it...well there are so many other things doctors don't know the cause of..like ms.. some cancers.. anyways.. i haven't been misdiagnosed but It is possible to deal with the both and yes it is hard to sometimes distinguish the symptoms. Keep getting support and going to the doctor, and get many opinions and tests done if need so. Thyroid problems are very hard to diagnose.. a lot of tests come out normal when they are not. Just because fibromyalgia is an 'invisible' chronic condition and most sufferers look 'fine' it is viewed as quite a controversial subject. As to if it is 'real' or not is entirely based on the definition of 'real'. To the sufferer the pain and horrific fatigue are not in any way a fake symptom. Fibromyalgia is a kind of 'waste basket' diagnosis in a sense because there is no scientific lab test for it. Going to the doctor is INCREDIBLY important, I don't know if I can stress that too much. A rheumatologist is key and perhaps a nuerologist and any specific doctor for other body parts that hurt or are not functioning properly. I also want to stress that a family doctor that gets all of the information together from all the doctors so that she can keep the information together and make connections between all the labs and information. I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis which can cause pain similar to that of Fibromyalgia. (so I am told...it is quite rare however) You and I are very alike. I too have a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia, and am still testing for a diagnosis in Ankylosing Spondylitis or other Autoimmune disorder (you already got diagnosed). NOW, to answer your question...Misdiagnosed is a very meaningful word. All Fibromyalgia, thryoid conditions, and autoimmune conditions are hard to diagnose and when I asked my pain management doctor (very specialized) whether or not the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia would be discounted after I got diagnosed with something else, he told me no it wouldn't. Fibromyalgia can be a precurser diagnosis for something else and sticks around after another diagnosis is made because many of the Fibromyalgia symptoms stick around. It is thought that Fibromyalgia can be caused or have some part of being in other Autoimmune diseases. Although this is all not concrete though people have moved forward in the field of research around Autoimmune diseases it is still a very very iffy field. I wish you luck and support with the pain and I wish you good days ahead.

Is it possible for your cholesterol level to be too low?

A high blood cholesterol level increases your risk of coronary artery disease. Lower cholesterol is usually better - but not always. Some research suggests that low levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL), or "bad," cholesterol may be associated with an increased risk of certain types of cancer. Other studies associate a low total cholesterol level with depression and anxiety, perhaps because low cholesterol may reduce levels of the brain chemical serotonin. And pregnant women who have low total cholesterol may be more likely to give birth prematurely and have babies who have low birth weights.Although the upper limits for total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol have been clearly established, the lower limits depend on the individual.Ideally, keep your total cholesterol below 200 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL), or 5.2 millimoles per liter (mmol/L), and your LDL cholesterol below 100 mg/dL (2.6 mmol/L) - or below 70 mg/dL (1.8 mmol/L) if you're at very high risk of heart disease. An adult who eats a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet may have an LDL cholesterol level between 40 and 50 mg/dL (1.0 and 1.3 mmol/L) and a total cholesterol level of 100 mg/dL (2.6 mmol/L).It's also important to remember that high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or "good," cholesterol counts, too. A low HDL level increases the risk of heart disease. For women, a low HDL level coupled with excess weight after menopause may increase the risk of breast cancer as well. To help prevent heart disease, aim for an HDL level of 60 mg/dL (1.5 mmol/L) or higher. What if your Dr. said you had the lowest level he had ever seen, 47. I think that was the total. He was really surprised and shocked, but this was several years back and he has done and said nothing to indicate there is anything wrong with that. Should I be considering a second opinion, or is it not worth the effort?

Will it harm the baby if you get food poisoning during pregnancy?

Yes, The food you eat also goes straight to your baby girl/boy/eny other.

What do you do when the condom breaks?

If a condom breaks, it seems pretty obvious that pregnancy is not desired, so you immediately rinse out Vagina with soap and water, and gently scrub with a washcloth. Some people have said that douching with Coca-Cola does the trick, but only do it if you deem necessary. The best bet would be to go to planned parenthood immediately and cough up $40.00 for the morning after pill. If you don't have $40.00, then they will accept a payment plan, and you will be covered until payment is complete. They will help you, even if you don't have cash. One thing to keep in mind is to actually read the instructions that are printed inside the condom box. They really give good advise of what to do before and after sex. A:I agree With Your answer but if you are just a teen, make sure you talk to your parents about this situation. Trust me it will make everything better in the end. A : Another thing you can do is NOT LAY DOWN! Gravity does take its toll on pregnancy. When you lay down, your uterus naturally slopes downward, helping the little sperm get to your egg faster, so sit up right after sex. Also, even though having orgasms are amazing! The contracting of the muscles in your vagina and uterus while having an orgasm helps carry the sperm to your egg also. Most importantly, every time you have sex is a time you can get pregnant. So think before you do anything. Good luck!!!!

What is the disease that makes you look young?

Edit 3/3/2015 I believe what you're referring to is Lepromatous Leprosy. Or"Pretty Leprosy". It has the ability to make people look youngerthan they are. Edit 3/20/13 It is called congenital growth-hormone condition, and it is agrowth hormone deficiency. Are you serious? If you find out what this disease is, I knowseveral people (including myself) who would love to have it! There ARE diseases that make people look very old, but I don'tthink there's any disease that makes you look young! ANSWER Yes indeed there are diseases that make you look young, People canlook like a child but really be 33 years old. My aunt had it andshe did not die because of it, most people think that means youwill die faster. You will not die faster and this disease is notcommon at all. It is very rare to have it. If you have ever seenthe movie the Orphan at the beginning they are right, they said "This is not based off a real story but the disease she has is. Fewpeople have this disease but it is possible."( Momo2828: no this person is wrong, the disease Ester had in TheOrphan was a growth hormone deficiency, or a form of dwarfism. Thedisease you are asking about makes you look younger then theyreally are, 2 days ago i hear on MTV that Justin Bieber had thedisease and that he is really 33 years old, then later on i heardhe was actually his real age(16) but the disease made him look likea 12 year old hyppothetically. Funnily enough there is a programme on TV tomorrow night in Britainabout something similar. It is when the pubertal hormones do notkick in and the person does not get any secondary sexualcharacteristics, including, no breasts for women, no enlargement ofthe genitals for men, no pubic/underarm hair, no acne. ANSWER - My friend had chrones' or chrons disease and he looked like he was14 when he was 20.______________________________________________________________________________________ yes there is a thing that Andy milinakes (i know i spelled itwrong) and Jason earles have ... they are both 30 somthin

Do raspberry leaf tea capsules work to induce labor?

It doesn't induce labor, it just causes contractions. And it's anything with real raspberry in it. The contractions won't necessarily put you into labor, but you'll get the pain still. It actually ripens your cervix getting it ready for the birth. I have been taking it for a few weeks now and nothing has happened yet. I am 39 weeks and 3 days. Everyone is different. i was wondering if you mixed the raspberry thing and the castor stuff together would that induce labor earlier. i am a mother of three with another on the way and i cant stand being pregnant anymore. i just feel awful. by the way i am 36 weeks along. and my youngest is only nine months old. please let me know if that would do anything I would not advise you to try and go into labor at 36 weeks as your baby will be too premature to go home immediately so you will either have to stay in hospital with it or make daily trips, both difficult with three others. From 37 weeks an infusion of raspberry leaf tea will not make you go into labour but when labour does start it makes it more efficient. ANSWER I have PCOS which means I don't have my periods regularly, about 3 times a YEAR...and so therefore I am no ovulating. I had my first daughter in 2002, it then took me 6 years to have my second child in 2008! I had started taking red raspberry in the pill form, and after the first two weeks I started having a period. Then I found the liquid form, and had two squirts each morning ( in a cup of OJ) It taste horrible! But 3 months later I was pregnant! So yes it works. In fact I stopped taking it cause I am not yet ready for another baby. But once in awhile I will take it to bring on a period to "cleanse" myself. I did not have any side effects that were bad, just helps with your hormones in a natural way. I had a period, ovulated, and I also got acne, but that is because it brought on my hormones. I recommend the liquid form, you can find it in the natural section of a grocery store, they are about $10 for a bottle. It's good to take throughout the pregnancy ( helps form the uterus walls and get ready for labor) it helps after giving birth to heal. It is basically a wonder NATURAL drug for women. If your having heavy periods, no periods, painful periods, you should take this. I am NOT a doctor, I speak from experience for when I use it and my sister-in-law uses it. Good luck!

Why do you bite your tongue in your sleep?

Hi, I hope you have spoken to your Doctor? Your having nightseizers "Epilepsy" - they would happen to me if I had a heavy nighton the wine or not a lot of sleep. I saw a specialist who put me onLamotrigine tablets for 10 years, I only had two seizers withinthat time. Last year I asked my Specialist if I could start comingoff them as I went six years without any seizers. It's been one year off Lamotrigine and I had a seizer in my sleeplast night (my tongue is so sore). I'm not too worried as theDoctor said if I only have the odd seizer and they are well spacedout there is no need to go back on tablets. Night epilepsy doesn'taffect you driving so you won't lose your licence - if a seizerhappens when your awake the DVLA will take your licence. But don'tworry Epilepsy has many forms and night seizers is a mild form, many people have this problem and don't know it's sleep seizers. Best of luck! AnswerMaybe the result of teeth grinding (bruxism) or to aninvoluntary jaw muscle jerk due to a bad dream-- either one couldbe caused by STRESS. If you are doing frequent painful damage toyour tongue, you might want to see you dentist about a mouth guardappliance to protect your tongue. Also, just to add to this. If you do decide to wear a mouth guardappliance (night guard) while you sleep to protect your tongue youcan get a custom made one online through a night guard lab calledSentinel Mouthguard Co. instead of going through an expensivedentist. They charge about 1/5 of what the dentist charges and it'sthe exact same thing. Or you can try the store bought kind but mostpeople find them to be too uncomfortable to actually sleep in. Ifyou're going to wear a night time guard it really needs to be thinand custom fitted to your exact dental anatomy. Hope this helps!

Do ear staples help weight loss?

There have been no controlled studies that have shown ear stapling to reduce weight. Certainly you can find plenty of people who swear by it and claim it helped them lose a great deal of weight; however, this is the case with almost every medication, herb, or procedure out there. When these kind of procedures are studied scientifically, instead of just relying on anecdotal reports, it is usually revealed that they do no better than a placebo. The bottom line with losing weight is to reduce the amount of caloric intake (and to make sure it is done in moderation) and increase the amount of exercise. Ear stapling and other procedures can be dangerous if they are done in a non-sterile manner by people who don't know what they are doing, so be careful whom you trust with your body.
